High Fibre Meal Planner for Children - Day 7

Many of the adult meals can be adapted for children using smaller portions: however, these menus are suited to less developed palates.

To drink: Only fresh fruit juices, such as apple, orange grape or pear. Vegetable juices such as tomato or mixed vegetables, at least 6 small paper cup-sized drinks of water per day.

Breakfast
30g Special K, topped with 200ml semi-skimmed milk and spoonful cubed mango
5.6g fibre
Mid morning snack
3 slices sesame crispbread topped with peanut butter.
4g fibre
Lunch
Traditional roast beef with roast potatoes, sprouts, carrots and cauliflower
6.5g fibre
Snack
Small bowl of mixed nuts, dried apricots and sultanas
4.5g fibre
Dinner
Vegetable chilli with kidney beans
OR
Spicy chilli beans on toast

Raspberry jelly made with pureed whole raspberries, cooked in a little water and sugar, set with gelatine, Served with single cream
27.6g fibre
