High Fibre Meal Planner for Children - Day 5

Many of the adult meals can be adapted for children using smaller portions: however, these menus are suited to less developed palates.

To drink: Only fresh fruit juices, such as apple, orange grape or pear. Vegetable juices such as tomato or mixed vegetables, at least 6 small paper cup-sized drinks of water per day.

Breakfast
2 scrambled eggs, 1 slice wholemeal toast, butter. Apple juice
4.2g fibre
Mid morning snack
1 banana.
1.1g fibre
Lunch
Portion shepherd's pie topped with parsnip mash, peas and carrots.
Home-made orange jelly made with freshly squeezed orange juice, water, set with gelatine.
8.9g fibre
Snack
Small handful reduced fat crisps with dsp reduced fat cream cheese
2g fibre
Dinner
Small jacket potato filled with 2 tbs baked beans
Peach slices topped with 30g crumbled almonds, with yogurt
11.9g fibre
3g fibre
