High Fibre Meal Planner for Children - Day 4

Many of the adult meals can be adapted for children using smaller portions: however, these menus are suited to less developed palates.

To drink: Only fresh fruit juices, such as apple, orange grape or pear. Vegetable juices such as tomato or mixed vegetables, at least 6 small paper cup-sized drinks of water per day.

40g Porridge with semi skimmed milk and 4 prunes.

Mid morning snack
Home made flapjack slice apple or pear juice
3.4g fibre
Lunch
1 medium-sized jacket potato with 1 small can baked beans, 2tbs grated reduced-fat Cheddar cheese and salad.
13.7g fibre
Snack
Bowl of strawberries
1.1g fibre
Dinner
Wholemeal spaghetti hoops on 2 slices wholemeal toast
OR
Simple fish pie with mashed potato topping, served with peas and carrots.
Fresh fruit salad with 1 scoop ice cream
6.4g fibre

6.6g fibre
