Monitoring Your Digestive Health
Your digestive system is one of the most important systems of your entire body. Yet it is such a natural part of us, functioning automatically from the very day we are born, that it is all too easily ignored as being something that works in spite of us- which is certainly not the case. Indeed, our digestive systems need our help and vigilance to work efficiently and taking this vital system for granted can result in the misery of constipation.
Eleven million people are thought to be affected by constipation*. At best this is annoying and inconvenient: at its worst, constipation can be painful and cause real suffering. Unfortunately, many people put digestion lower down their list of priorities below, for example, their circulation or the health of their vital organs but in fact, without good digestion and a healthy working gut, many other systems of the body suffer as a consequence.

Staying healthy on the inside is simple. Taking care of your diet and keeping active are just two simple measures that help keep your system flowing freely. And it all starts with body awareness: your body mass index for example, your blood pressure and cholesterol levels are all things you should know about yourself and they are not as difficult to find out as you might think.
